Development

Instructional development is a unique part of the educational process and influences education in many different ways. Development can be as simple as changing the look, reinterpreting something in an original way, establishing a pedagogy for communicating information or creating original content. However, it also includes utilizing new methods for delivery or designing integration with the educational process

Style Development

By changing the perspective and curving this Ciliate cell section, the image becomes organic in nature and improves the ability to distinguish the shapes and structure of all of the various parts labeled in the drawing. The curve of the Cilium is consistent with its function of moving the cell. The woven microtubules create the outer structure of the cell. By adding transparency, it is shown that the structure continues all around the cell.

Art Development

Bacterial flagella motor final art.
Bacteria flagella.
Original art manuscript for bacteria flagella.

This figure was developed from the original art manuscriipt. This figure was created in Illustrator using brushes and graphic styles that I designed and included on a style sheet. The style sheet provided all team members with access to established styles and easily replicated for consistency. I used Illustrator’s 3D tool to get the framework for the motor.
