Darién Profundo
This project was connected to the research of Lucy Gill—Berkley, CA, in response to the travel limitation during COVID. Lucy could not travel to the Darién Gap region for archeological and anthropological research. The goal of this project was to include the indigenous population in the collection of archeological data and contribute to anthropological research. The website was designed to collect data and share information about the Darién Gap.
Logo Design
Logo was inspired by combining Latin American art styles with the jungle imagery associated with the Darién Gap environment.
Website Design
Dynamic Form Development
The website contains two different forms for collecting data: Submit Archeological Data for scientists and Documenting Darién for the local community. These forms were created with KoboToolbox and an open-source database for humanitarian and educational research.
